MCMAT Ranked in Top 5 Business Schools in Kerala

MCMAT is included in the list of top 25 colleges in South India and ranked as 5th one in Kerala in the Business World best Business School Survey-2011.

High Recognition for MCMAT by AIMA and Business India

•   MCMAT is assessed in the All India Management Association (AIMA) national level 'B' School survey and was included in the list of 'A4' level colleges for the year 2010. This is published in the October Issue of the AIMA Journal "Indian Management'.
   

•   MCMAT was included in the list of 'A' level colleges in the Best B-Schools Survey 2010 conducted by Business India. This is published in the October issue of the Business India.

Sri. K.M. Chacko Memorial National Level Inter Collegiate Cross-fire Debate Competition - Scintillencia 2010 will be held in MCMAT.

Course Completion Ceremony of Class of 2008 was held on 9th October, 2010. Rev. Sunny Thomas, Vicar, St. Paul's Mar Thoma Church, Perumbavoor, blessed the students. Prof. K. K. George, Chairman of Centre for Soco-Economic and Environmental Studies, Kochi and former Director, School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, gave away the Course Completion Certificates.

'Intelligencia 2010' - All Kerala Business Quiz Competition for the MCMAT Trophy was successfully held on 7th August, 2010. Team from Baselious Poulose Catholicos College (BPC College), Piravom secured the Trophy and Teams from the Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam secured the second and third places. Prof. Francis Cherunilam, Professor of School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology (SMS - CUSAT) and former Professor of IIM-Kozhikode presented a seminar titled, 'Review of the Global Financial situation - International Marketing Scenariao as a post liberalization view' at MCMAT on 9th March, 2010.

Dr. Rajan Varughese will visit Gurdaspur, Amritsar in Punjab in connection with the assessment and Accreditation of a college from 31st August to 2nd September, 2009.

A Faculty Development Programme - a workshop on the 'Case study method of teaching management and business subjects' was held as a national level program inviting selected faculty members for management institutions on 27 April, 2009.

MCMAT Hosts Live Derivatives Workshop in Currency and Commodities on Dec 6

On Saturday, December 6, 2008 MCMAT hosted a one day South Indian workshop on the Global Financial melt down. It provided a hands on experience of online trading of Derivatives in shares, Foreign Exchange, Commodities and especially Dollar and Gold. First Graduation Ceremony and Convocation - A Smashing Success

The first graduation/convocation program of MCMAT was a wonderful and colorful occasion, something that will be cherished and remembered by all participating. His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan, Manager of MCMAT and President of MTEA, came very early and provided the leadership in the organization of the function. Prof. K. Babu Joseph, former Vice Chancellor of the Cochin University of Science and Technology, delivered the graduation address.  Details.

Inauguration of the MCMAT Alumni Association

The MCMAT alumni association was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 as part of the first graduation ceremony and convocation. The first alumni meeting saw the establishment of the first Endowment Scholarship Fund to be contributed by the first set of alumni through the proceeds of Fratres 2007.

Inauguration of MCMAT Live! Forum

MCMAT Live! Electronic Forum was formally inaugurated on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 as part of the first graduation ceremony and inauguration of the alumni association. MCMAT Live! is a forum designed to bring together the various stakeholders of the college, alumni, current students, faculty, staff, and friends of the college. It will provide ample opportunities for interactions as well as keeping everyone informed about what is happening in the college on a timely basis. But it is much more. We will publish scholarly articles 9as in Harvard Business Review) by faculty and students after careful screening. We will provide opportunities for networking and mentoring. We will provide an opportunity for everyone concerned to improve business communication skills, a very important prerequisite for success in today's business world. The forum is professionally moderated and the membership is free but will be strictly limited to alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the college.

Futuristic Seminar Held at MCMAT: INDIA – 60 YEARS AHEAD
On August 14, 2007, the eve of India's 60th Independence, MCMAT presented a futuristic seminar. This program challenged the participants to take a look at what is ahead in the next 60 years.

The program was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Fathima Beebi, Chairperson, Muncipal Council, Perumbavoor.
Prof. Dr. K. K. George, Chairman, CES, and Former Director of SMS, CUSAT, and Advisor to Kerala State Planning Board presided at the program.

Mr. P. C. Chacko, Former MP, also made a presentation at the program.

MCMAT Students Bag Prizes
MCMAT Team consisting of Mr. Prasanth T Raju and Mr. Samuel T John won second prize in the Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition conducted by M.E.S College, Marampally on 12th July 2007.

The Orientation program for incoming MBA class was conducted from 18th June 2007 to 30th June 2007. This year, we have redesigned the entire orientation program into a program called HOPES - Highly Oriented Pre-Determined Executive Search.
