Orientation Program for New Students - 2007

HOPES: ‘Highly Oriented Pre-Determined Executive Search’

The orientation program for the new students (2007-2009 Batch) had been conducted from 18th June 2007 to 30th June 2007.

Rev. Johnson Varghese, Vicar, St. Paul's Mar Thoma Church, Perumbavoor led the opening prayer on June 18, 2007.

The formal opening of the 2007 session was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Irenaeus Saffragan Metropolitan, Manager of MCMAT, on 19 June, 2007.

Rev. Dr. Johnson P Mathew, General Secretary of Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association and Mr. Abraham Varghese (Sajan), Treasurer, Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association addressed the students.

This year, we redesigned the entire orientation program into a program called HOPES ‘Highly Oriented Pre-Determined Executive Search’

The objective of HOPES was to provide the new management aspirants with the information and tools needed to develop them into successful executives.

The program included exposure to different organizations through eminent leaders and designed as a tool for motivation and development, Introduction to Soft Skill Development of the fresh students in communicative English, leadership, Group Dynamics, Presentation Skills, etc. were salient features. Students got opportunity to interact with senior managers and executives.
