you.
The budget talk 2008 was held on March 2008 at MCMAT,
Perumbavoor at 3:30 pm.
Chief Guest: Mrs. Susie Varghese, Commissioner of Income Tax,
(Appeals), Ernakulam.
Lead Speaker : Mr. P.J. Johney, FCA, former Chairman of the
Ernakulam chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Mrs. Susie Varghese gave an overview of the budget.
Mr. P.J. Johney, the lead speaker, covered the advantage and
impacts of budget on the following areas:
1) Farming sector
2) Educational sector
3) The increase of threshold limit for personal income tax
4) The reduction of various excise duties.
