Mar Thoma College of Management and Technology (MCMAT) is owned by the MTEA
Society which is a part of the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association (MTEA).
The Mar Thoma Syrian Church
The Mar Thoma Syrian Church forms part of the ancient Syrian Church of
Malabar. It is an independent Church with head-quarters in Tiruvalla, Kerala,
South India and it belongs to the Eastern family of Churches. The present
Metropolitan of the Mar Thoma Church is His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar
Chrysostom.
Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association (MTEA) and MTEA Society
The MTEA is responsible for the missionary, evangelical and educational work
conducted by the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. It runs several schools, colleges, and
hospitals. The MTEA is also responsible for organizing the world-famous Maramon
Convention.
The Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association Society was formed and registered
under the Travancore-Cochin Charitable Society’s Act P-459/04 in October, 2004
with a view to start educational institutions offering professional courses like
MBA and MCA with approval from accrediting statutory organizations like AICTE.
The MCMAT is the first institution of MTEA Society offering professional
education.

Vision of the MTEA Society
* To offer quality higher education in professional and job oriented academic
programs in subjects like Management and Computer Applications and to promote
research giving due importance to scientific, ethical, technological aspects.
* To provide opportunities for learning programs in Business Management,
Information Technology and Computer Application education to those who cannot
afford the high cost of such academic programs.
* To provide Job oriented courses in order to meet the demands due to the
emerging economic development of the State in particular and the global
scenario.
* To develop competent faculty for regular academic work and visiting faculty
from industry and scientific research institutions.
